There are several basic types of industrial vibrators.
Devices that use rotary motors induce vibration through the rotation of a motor shaft with an eccentric weight. Industrial ball vibrators also use rotary motion, but deliver vibration via a ball rolling around a race. Industrial turbine vibrators resemble ball vibrators in appearance, but use a turbine rotating from the motive force of compressed air rather than a rotating ball. Typically, these devices are flange-mounted. Linear industrial vibrators induce vibration with a linear actuator or motor with a reciprocating piston.

Performance specifications for industrial vibrators include motor speed, power, force, voltage, diameter, and length. Motor speed measures the speed of the rotating element and is typically expressed in revolutions per minute (rpm). Power, the motor output rating, sometimes reflects nominal rather than exact values. For motorized vibrators, force represents the centrifugal force generated by the rotating eccentric mass. For piston-based devices, force is added by the reciprocation. For both types of vibrators, force is typically measured in pounds (lbs). Dimensions such as diameter and length are expressed in either inches (in) or centimeters (cm).

External Electric Micro-Vibrators
MICRO MVE External Electric Vibrators are characterized by very small overall dimensions and three options regarding centrifugal force: 0 to 5 kg (11 lb); 0 to 20 kg (44 lb); 0 to 40 kg (88 lb). MICRO MVE have been designed for limited space and laboratory applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and packaging industry.

External Pneumatic Ball Vibrators
S-Type External Pneumatic Ball Vibrators develop frequencies higher than 580 Hz (> 35,000 r.p.m.) and they are used wherever powdery materials have to be moved. S-type Ball Vibrators are installed on bins to prevent bridging or ratholing, and for the improvement of material flow on chutes, screens and vibrating tables.

External Electric Rotary Vibrators
OLI® Rotary Vibrators afford a guarantee of long term durability, reflecting the care taken over selection of components (well sized SKF bearings) and the high level of precision adopted in manufacture, whilst maintenance is minimal and simple in the extreme.

External Pneumatic Turbine Vibrators
OT-type External Pneumatic Turbine Vibrators combine high frequencies with high centrifugal forces at large amplitudes. OT Vibrators are operated oil-free with filtered compressed air. They do not require any maintenance and they are successfully used as flow aids on bins, as drives for chutes or screens, and on vibrating tables.

External Pneumatic Linear Piston Vibrators
The K-series External Pneumatic Linear Piston Vibrators are particularly suitable for conveying, compacting and detaching of bulk solids due to perfectly linear vibrations. They reach optimum results in emptying of bins or as drives for vibrating conveyors or feeders.

External Pneumatic Impact Piston Vibrators
P-type External Pneumatic Impact Piston Vibrators are particularly robust and are used for detaching material incrustations inside pipes or bins. In areas where noise prevention is not a priority P-type Vibrators are the best value. Operated with filtered and oiled compressed air great durability is guaranteed.

External Pneumatic Roller Vibrators
OR-type External Pneumatic Roller Vibrators are characterized by the reduction or even the elimination of friction through high frequencies and high centrifugal forces. At the same time, OR Vibrators are completely insensitive to resonance.
